Sweden's Classic Cabin, Modernized
From the outside, it's exactly what you picture when someone says "Swedish summer cabin" — red paint, white corners, overlooking a still lake surrounded by pine forest. But step inside, and you'll find a fully modern interior with all the technology you'd expect in a city apartment.
This isn't roughing it. This is comfortable nature living with 323 Mbps WiFi, a projector for movie nights, air conditioning for summer, and heating for winter stays. One guest who stayed for 75 days described it as the perfect long-term escape.
The Lake & Outdoor Life
The cabin sits on Lake Nedre Vättern in the Bergslagen region. A path from the cabin leads to a private dock and sandy beach in a sheltered bay — shared only with a few neighbor cabins.
🎣 What You Can Do
- Fishing: Pike, perch, and more from the dock or boat. Guests rate the fishing as excellent
- Motorboat: Available for rent (April–October) for lake excursions
- Swimming: Sandy beach in a protected bay — shallow and safe
- Hiking: Trails through the surrounding forest and nature reserves
- BBQ & Outdoor Dining: Charcoal grill, outdoor dining area, and private terrace
- Winter: Ice fishing, cross-country skiing, and cozy fireplace evenings
Inside the Cabin
The cabin is winterized for year-round use:
- Lower floor: Open plan with sofa, dining area, projector (for movie nights), modern kitchen, and spacious bathroom with double shower and washer/dryer
- Upper floor: Bedroom with a double bed and lake view through the window
- Tech: 50" TV with Chromecast, Bluetooth sound system, robot vacuum, and a robot lawnmower
- Kitchen: Fully equipped — dishwasher, oven, stove, microwave, coffee maker, wine glasses
- Internet: 323 Mbps WiFi — fast enough for remote work or streaming
Note: The stairs between floors are steep — the host is transparent about this. Not ideal for very young children or guests with mobility challenges.
